History Of Art City
Being a rather creative person, John Mary Galea admired the frame
makers` skills so much that he established his own framing business
in 1946, working from a small outlet in Mosta.
In spite of the lack of sophisticated machinery at the time, he still
committed himself to providing excellent workmanship and quality service
to his customers.
In 1960, John Mary Galea expanded his business and moved to much
larger premises. In this way he could look forward to promoting his
trade with renewed energy and artistic flair.
In 1975, he passed his business over to his son George Galea.
The year 1988 saw a further expansion of the business, when George
started to operate as a wholesaler, importing materials and equipment
for the framing trade in the Maltese Islands
Present Day
As the company has grown it was time to update with the times and in
2010 George Galea opened the doors to bigger premises located in the
heart of Mosta. A new building which consists of five floors, each being 250
square metres, which include a wholesale
outlet, 2 galleries, exhibition hall and offices. I really wish to
congratulate all the team at ART CITY that made this dream come true!
The firm is committed to quality and customer satisfaction and has
